Course Taster

The course will help you gain awareness of where you find yourself on your journey:

  • Are you in an active phase or a waiting phase?

  • Are you setting helpful priorities, or are you in a phase where you're making compromises?

Iman will touch on 15 unique challenges that singleness brings, and the ways we can engage with God in dealing with these challenges.

A few examples of the challenges covered in the Single & Free course:

1. Comparison
Comparison is a natural occurrence, especially for singles who would like to be married. The problem is that it can be like a stubborn weed, suffocating your fruitfulness in life. It cultivates bitterness, kills relationships, withers your personality, imprisons your soul, and blurs your vision. On the course, we talk about how to uproot comparison.

2. Loneliness
Loneliness can be a constant ache. It can affect every aspect of life—even your health. It might make you feel like you're a burden to others. Let's talk about how we can deal with that.

Other examples of the challenges include:

  1. Longing for the physical intimacy of marriage

  2. Longing to have children (unfulfilled longing for motherhood)

  3. Pressures from society and church community

Often, women who have been waiting to find their partner and get married say, "I'm tired and fed up." Sometimes, this frustration is paired with shame, where women think, "There must be something wrong with me."

This is why Single & Free provides a space, especially for women, to feel understood and to receive deep, helpful biblical teaching along with practical examples, not least from Iman's own personal experience.
