More about the speaker
and the Course
Iman Riad is originally from Egypt, where she studied medicine before moving to the UK to specialise in obstetrics and gynaecology. Now based in the UK, she works as a consultant gynaecologist across both the NHS and private sectors.
Alongside her medical career, Iman is deeply passionate about building healthy marriages and encouraging thriving singleness. Having grown up surrounded by examples of strong, high-quality marriages, she developed a deep appreciation for godly relationships early on. She has since mentored many singles and couples, drawing on both personal experience and a strong heart for helping young people discover and walk in their calling.
Iman began ministering at the age of 15 and has been shaped by decades of spiritual growth, prayer, and a deep love for the Word of God. She knows firsthand the transformative power of wise mentors and spiritual family, having journeyed through life’s ups and downs with their support. Today, she is committed to passing on that same care to others.
She has ministered internationally as a speaker and coach, bringing wisdom, compassion, and clarity to those she serves.

The Vision behind Single & Free
While you are waiting for marriage, even though you may be a very successful person in every way (whether in your work or ministry) there often remains a deep, almost subconscious grip on the heart, as if you are still waiting for something that hasn’t yet happened. This grip is like an octopus with many legs: one could be loneliness, another the desire for children, and another the burden of comparison. It can feel as though you are not fully living in the present, but instead waiting to truly begin living.
This course is about exploring all of that and more, examining the various stages we go through while waiting for marriage, going through several challenges we may face (up to 15 challenges), and how, by the grace of God, we can be released from this grip. It’s about learning to invest in this unique and special time in our lives. It’s about transforming the season of waiting into a season of growth and preparation, so that we are free to embrace the best plans God has for us, in marriage, in ministry, and in His higher calling.
It’s about dating and preparing for marriage in a far healthier way, released from the grip of the octopus.
